Lui, has a degree in film & television production communications. While at university his main focus was on visuals, lighting and cinematography, which is not surprising to also see his eye for detail in his photography. He has an ability to apply himself across an array of disciplines. Lui’s interests and strengths in photography has always taken him to exceed clients expectations. Embracing new technology, skills and methods to make sure he is always at the forefront for clients.
Lui, developed and interest in film & photography at the age of 14 while in junior high school back in new york when he was asked by friends to take photos of all the sporting events. He not only took photos of sporting events but also started to film friends on super 8mm film. He then developed an interest in filming the streets of new york using his super 8mm film camera. This was all done in black and white film as he is very passionate about old films & cinematography.
After high school he went onto university to study engineering but soon forgot about that and enrolled in the film & television production department. During his time at university he had odd jobs working as a production assistant in commercials and photographers assistant.
After graduating from university he move to miami where he worked as production coordinator and also assisted numerous photographers who came from overseas to shoot catalogues against famous miami backdrop.
